Mississippi Forge to revive plant with $9M investment

CHICAGO Mississippi Forge PVF Inc., which makes steel-forged flanges and fittings for piping systems, will invest $9 million to renovate the former Ackerman Forge in Ackerman, Miss.
"Each year, billions of dollars worth of pipe fittings are imported into the U.S. We need several such (domestic) facilities to improve our trade balance and achieve manufacturing independence," Mississippi Forge president Jigar Kadakia said in a....
