Ferrovanadium prices rise on increased spot activity

NEW YORK — Ferrovanadium prices rose slightly this past week as market participants reported an increase in spot activity leading into contract season.

Spot prices moved up to $12 to $12.60 per pound from $11.60 to $12.60 per pound previously. Prices had been stagnant for several weeks due to a dearth of spot market activity, with contract business covering the majority of consumers.....
