Chinese coal mart may plunge in 2014

RIZHAO, China Chinese coal prices could plunge next year as a result of fallout from Chinas shadow banking crisis, Feng Yipeng, steel division manager of China-based brokerage Luzheng Futures Brokerage Co. Ltd., said.
He also pointed to a market consensus for a general downtrend in commodity prices due to the countrys slowing economy.
"The coal mining industry in China experienced rapid expansion in 2011, when a great number of new projects were kicked off and mergers and acquisitions took place," he said.....
