Eskom declares power supply emergency

LONDON South African state energy group Eskom Holdings SOC Ltd. has declared an emergency over its constrained power supply after the loss of additional generating units and the extensive use of emergency reserves.
The group is following its emergency procedures to secure the system and has told major industrial customers to reduce their load by at least 10 percent, it said Nov. 20.....
