Century lands power deal for Sebree plant

CHICAGO Century Aluminum Co. has negotiated an energy agreement with power suppliers for its Sebree, Ky., smelter ahead of a Jan. 31 deadline.
The Chicago-based aluminum producer said Nov. 20 that the agreement with Kenergy Corp. and Big Rivers Electric Corp., both based in Henderson, Ky., has been filed with the Kentucky Public Service Commission (KPSC).....
