Abakan adjusts ramp-up at MesoCoat unit

NEW YORK — Abakan Inc. is adjusting the ramp-up schedule for nanocomposite PComP coating materials production at its MesoCoat Coating Services Inc. subsidiary in Euclid, Ohio, to focus on achieving increased short-term output.

It cited strong demand for the product, also noting that the ramp-up would allow it to accommodate the construction of a new building to house additional equipment.

The company is now planning to reach a production rate of 18 tons annually by the end of 2013, ramping up to 60 tons and finally 180 tons over the next 12 months, Abakan said.....
