Codelco expects support from next president

SHANGHAI Chilean copper producer Corporación Nacional del Cobre de Chile (Codelco) expects to continue enjoying strong governmental support regardless of the outcome of the countrys presidential elections in December, chief executive officer Thomas Keller Lippold told AMM sister publication Metal Bulletin.
"There is support from virtually all of Chilean society toward what we are doing and our strategic plans and specifically on the implementation of our structural mining projects, so I dont see an impact on Codelcos strategy," he said last week during Asia Copper Week in Shanghai.....
