Boeing seeking sites to build 777X

LOS ANGELES Boeing Co. has officially thrown open the bidding to build the 777X airliner to several sites outside its traditional Pacific Northwest manufacturing region.
Chicago-based Boeing "has formally initiated a site selection process for the 777X by issuing a request for proposal ... to more than a dozen locations," it confirmed to AMM.
Boeing wants the proposals returned by mid-December and expects to reveal its selection "early next year," it said. Its decision will include locations for the planes fabrication and the assembly of its new composite wing.....
