Secondary alloys steady on auto demand

NEW YORK — Secondary aluminum alloy prices have remained relatively steady over the past two weeks, with strong demand from the automotive sector continuing to support the market.

This is despite drops in terminal markets and a noticeable industrywide slowdown ahead of the holiday season, buyers and sellers said.

Prices for A380.1 held at $1.02 to $1.04 per pound, 319.1 at $1.07 to $1.09, 356.1 at $1.09 to $1.11, and low-copper A360.1 and A413.1 alloys at $1.08 to $1.09 per pound.....
