Boeing titanium demand to rise: PCC exec

LOS ANGELES Titanium Metals Corp. (Timet) should see the beginning of an acceleration in demand from Boeing Co. in mid-2014 as parent company Precision Castparts Corp. (PCC) moves to increase its monthly build rates on the products it supplies for the 787 Dreamliner.
Portland, Ore.-based PCCs chairman and chief executive officer, Mark Donegan, told Credit Suisse Groups Global Industries Conference in New York this week that he expects Timet to see the start of a "meaningful step-up" in Boeings demand in "mid-calendar year" 2014.....
