Steel sheet market steady; buyers eye pickup

NEW YORK The U.S. steel sheet market underscored stable conditions this week amid steady demand, business activity and pricing, but buyers expect the typically quiet year-end to lead into a busy January.
"Id like to see more volume right now, and business is just average. But things are pretty seasonal," one Midwest service center source said. "We think the first quarter is looking pretty good and everyone is waiting on prices to move up very soon."....
