Boeing union proposes deal to keep 777X in Northwest

LOS ANGELES — Boeing Co.’s largest union, in danger of losing its role as the workforce on the newest version of the 777 airliner, has offered a new labor deal to keep production of the plane in the Pacific Northwest.

The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) said it has "presented Boeing with a preliminary proposal for a contract that would secure" final assembly and wing fabrication on the 777X for the Puget Sound area.....
