Baosteel temporarily shuts nearly all US offices

NEW YORK Baosteel America Inc. has temporarily closed all but one of its U.S. sales offices at a time of increasing regulatory and trade restrictions against imports of Chinese material.
Baosteel Americas president, Ming Ye, confirmed to AMM that earlier this year the companya subsidiary of Baosteel Group Corp., Chinas third-largest steelmakeridled its Detroit office, which sources indicate was a major automotive hub; its Houston office, which specialized in energy products; and its specialty steels-focused Los Angeles office.....
