NEW YORK AK Steel Corp. expects to report a fourth-quarter profitits first quarter in the black after nine consecutive quarterly losseson the back of strong demand in the carbon spot market.
In its fourth-quarter guidance issued Dec. 18, the West Chester, Ohio-based steelmaker said it expects to realize net income of 2 to 6 cents per diluted share on shipments of about 1.4 million tons, in contrast to a net....
