World steel production logs Nov. gain

NEW YORK — Global crude steel output rose last month as gains in North America, Asia and Europe offset declines in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and South America.

Production by the 65 countries reporting to the World Steel Association (WorldSteel) totaled 127.36 million tonnes in November, up 3.6 percent from 122.98 million tonnes in the same month last year, data from the Brussels-based group show.....
