ATI, AK, NAS trim most stainless surcharges

NEW YORK — Three stainless steel producers have lowered their surcharges across most nickel-bearing grades for January, with slight increases in raw material extras across the 400 grades.

ATI Allegheny Ludlum Corp., a division of Pittsburgh-based Allegheny Technologies Inc., set its January surcharges at 64.61 cents per pound for Type 304 products, down 2.5 percent from 66.26 cents in December; 44.47 cents per pound for Type 201, down 1.7 percent from 45.23 cents; and 88.86 cents per pound for Type 316, down 2.5 percent....
