Court clarifies ArcelorMittal patent ruling

NEW YORK — ArcelorMittal SA has taken another legal hit in its nearly four-year-long patent infringement battle after a federal judge clarified that its patent on aluminized boron automotive steels was not infringed by three companies.

However, the company said it will continue to explore its options following the Dec. 5 ruling in U.S. District Court in Delaware.

"ArcelorMittal disagrees with the recent District Court’s decision to hold our Usibor-AS patent invalid," a spokeswoman for Chicago-based ArcelorMittal USA LLC told AMM via e-mail.....
