Turkish scrap imports hit by steel in 2013

BURSA, Turkey The Turkish scrap market was hit in 2013 by weak demand in its export markets for finished steel, increasing Chinese production and anti-dumping cases.
Weak demand in Turkeys export markets caused a reduction in finished steel output, which consequently lowered scrap imports. Demand for steel in Turkeys export markets was curtailed by anti-dumping cases against Turkish exports and political instability across the Middle East and North Africa (Mena) region.....
