Mechel names Korzhov chief executive

LONDON Russian coking coal and steel company Mechel OAO appointed Oleg Korzhov, its senior vice president of economics and management, as its new chief executive officer effective Jan. 1.
Evgeny Mikhel has resigned from the post, which he had held since 2010, Moscow-based Mechel announced Dec. 31.
