NEW YORK Caterpillar Inc. is cutting the work force at its assembly plant in Charleroi, Belgium.
About 1,400 of the 3,700 employees at the Belgian plant will leave in 2014, the bulk of them via early retirement, the Peoria, Ill.-based heavy mining equipment....
