NEW YORK — Evraz Inc. North America could temporarily lay off about 400 workers at its spiral and 24-inch lines and finishing departments at its tubular mill in Regina, Saskatchewan, starting Jan. 20 due to a lack of rail cars to ship out orders.

"Due to recent rail-related logistics challenges, we may need to temporarily suspend production at the spiral mill while we work to move out the abundance of pipe orders on the ground," a spokeswoman for the Chicago-based company told AMM in an e-mail.
