Ferroalloys feel impact of cold weather

NEW YORK — Ferroalloy market participants said the severe weather that brought historically low temperatures to some areas across the Midwest this past week impacted some operations, but most did not expect the effects to last long.

"Deliveries have been the issue. What normally takes two days, it’s going to take four now. It’s still going on, it might need two or three days to fix itself," one foundry supplier said.....
