Alcoa finishes $300M auto expansion at Iowa facility

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Alcoa Inc. has finished a $300-million expansion at its plant in Davenport, Iowa, aimed at boosting aluminum sheet supplies to the automotive sector.

The Pittsburgh-based aluminum producer announced the completion of the project Jan. 14, one day after Dearborn, Mich.-based Ford Motor Co. unveiled its aluminum-bodied F-150 pickup truck at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit.....
