Antofagasta port declares force majeure

SÃO PAULO — The Antofagasta international terminal in Chile, the port used for copper shipments from such companies as Antofagasta Plc and Barrick Gold Corp., has declared force majeure following a strike by stevedores.

"Unión Portuaria del Norte Grande is carrying an illegal stoppage with an indefinite status, affecting our terminal and other ports in the north of the country, which constitutes a measure of force majeure," the port said.....
