Demand for zinc, lead rises: ILZSG

NEW YORK Global demand for lead metal and refined zinc increased in the first 11 months of 2013 compared with the same period last year, according to the latest data from the International Lead and Zinc Study Group (ILZSG).
Global lead usage totaled 890,700 tonnes in November, bringing the year-to-date total to more than 9.79 million tonnes, up 5.1 percent from 9.32 million tonnes in the first 11 months of 2012. The year-to-date increase was driven mainly by higher demand in the United....
