US stainless shipments up 10% in Dec.

NEW YORK U.S. service center shipments of stainless steel increased 10 percent year on year in December, with shipments for 2013 up marginally, according to the latest Metals Service Center Institute (MSCI) data.
Stainless steel shipments totaled 124,400 tons in December, down 6.5 percent from 133,100 tons in November. Total stainless steel shipments in 2013 exceeded 1.76 million tons, up 0.7 percent from 2012 shipments of just over 1.75 million....
