Turkish rebar exporters said not subsidized

LAS VEGAS — Turkish rebar exporters don’t receive government subsidies on shipments to the United States, Turkish Steel Exporters’ Association chairman Namik Ekinci told delegates at the Steel Orbis rebar and wire rod conference Jan. 20.

"The Turkish government does not provide support to Turkish steel mills. The government puts burdens on the steel mills. There are taxes on scrap imports that create disadvantages and taxes on energy," he said.....
