Titanium spot market sees slow start to 2014

LOS ANGELES The aerospace titanium alloy market has got off to a slow start as spot prices for commodity products show few signs of improvement from last years soft market.
"The supply chain doesnt seem to be supporting the build rate increases were seeing at the OEMs (original equipment manufacturers)," one industry executive told AMM, citing strong commercial transport order backlogs for Chicago-based Boeing Co. and Frances Airbus SAS.....
