India imposes 5% export tax on iron ore pellets

SHANGHAI India has imposed a 5-percent export tax on iron ore pellets to help preserve the countrys domestic supply levels effective Jan. 27.
"Considering the domestic requirement of iron ore pellets, the government has decided to impose an export duty of 5 percent on iron ore pellets," the countrys legislature said in a statement issued this....
