New F-150 will mean longer summer shutdowns at Ford

CHICAGO Ford Motor Co. will shut down two U.S. plants for a combined 13 weeks this summer, executives said during the automakers Jan. 28 earnings conference call.
"As a result of launching 16 new or refreshed products, we expect production downtime for model changeovers to result in lower wholesale volume than in 2013," president and chief executive officer Alan Mulally said during the call.....
