Comex drop narrows some copper discounts

NEW YORK Discounts for some copper scrap grades narrowed slightly Jan. 29 as a combination of recent drops on Comex and a cold front across much of the country reduced overall supply, market participants told AMM.
The March-delivery Comex copper contract, the most actively traded, settled at $3.2405 per pound Jan. 29, down 2.9 percent from $3.337 per pound Jan. 22 and the lowest level since the start of the year. The contract slipped further Jan. 30,....
