Norilsk records lower nickel production

LONDON MMC Norilsk Nickel reported a 5-percent year-on-year decrease in nickel production in 2013 due in part to lower shipments of nickel semis to its nickel refinery in Harjavalta, Finland, and the mothballing of its Lake Johnston project in Western Australia.
The delivery shortages to Harjavalta were from Stockholm, Sweden-based Boliden AB and Espoo, Finland-based Talvivaara Mining Co. Plc, according to the Moscow-based companys earnings report.....
