CarTech expects uptick in titanium sales

LOS ANGELES — Carpenter Technology Corp.’s titanium sales fell in its fiscal second quarter, partly due to low prices, but it expects demand to improve later in the year.

The Wyomissing, Pa.-based company’s titanium sales, not including surcharges, for the three months ended Dec. 31 totaled $33.8 million, down 7.4 percent from $36.5 million in the same year-ago period, the company said in its earnings report.....
