Haynes falls into the red in ‘challenging’ climate

NEW YORK Haynes International Inc. blamed a "challenging" business environment for reduced shipments and lower average selling prices that resulted in a net loss in its fiscal first quarter.
Haynes president and chief executive officer Mark Comerford noted in the specialty alloy producers earnings report that business had suffered due to difficult economic conditions across the companys key end markets, particularly the aerospace and land-based gas turbine industries.....
