Spanish rebar exporters eye US as major mart

NEW YORK Spain could become a major supplier of concrete reinforcing bar to the United States if anti-dumping and countervailing duties are imposed on imports of Turkish and Mexican rebar, market sources told AMM.
Depressed construction demand in Spain and nearby European countries has forced rebar producers there to turn to the export market. Traditionally, Algeria has been Spains main export market.
Mills have been keen to find new export markets to offload material, sources told AMM, and the United States is seen as an attractive market.....
