CarTech to open production facility in China

NEW YORK Carpenter Technology Corp. will open its first Chinese production facility in the "early summer," according to a senior executive at the specialty and premium alloy producer.
Wyomissing, Pa.-based Carpenter announced plans to build the $20-million bar finishing facility in August 2012, a decision motivated "by rapid growth in that region of the world," the company said at the time (amm.com, Aug. 30, 2012).
