Universal's service deal a ‘win-win’: exec

NEW YORK Universal Stainless & Alloy Products Inc.s long-term service agreement with Haynes International Inc. is "a win-win for both (companies)," Universal chairman, president and chief executive officer Dennis Oates told AMM.
The deal, announced in October, sees the Bridgeville, Pa.-based specialty alloy producer provide Kokomo, Ind.-based Haynes with "vacuum induction melting (VIM) capacity, as well as forging services on a conversion basis," in exchange for "technology expertise for producing nickel-based alloys" from Haynes (amm.com, Oct. 29).....
