Friedman’s earnings dip in fiscal 3d qtr.

NEW YORK Sagging tubular selling prices and volumes along with lower coil prices dragged down Friedman Industries Inc.s earnings in its fiscal third quarter.
"Management believes the decrease in sales was related to soft market conditions created by oversupply, foreign competition and, more significantly, a weak U.S. economy," the company said in a Securities and Exchange Commission filing Feb. 13, adding that the coil segment was....
