Labrador Iron Mines seeks investment after bigger loss

NEW YORK Canadian iron ore producer Labrador Iron Mines Holdings Ltd. will need new external investment to continue mining in 2014, chairman and chief executive officer John Kearney said in the companys fiscal third-quarter financial report.
Sales volumes were achieved at the expense of product quality, which impacted revenue as well as the bottom line, with the net loss for the three months ended Dec. 31 nearly doubling compared with the same period a year earlier, the Toronto-based company said in....
