Two Mass. recyclers agree to restore wetlands, pay fine

PITTSBURGH — Two recyclers in Walpole, Mass., will restore more than an acre of land and pay a fine after allegedly damaging protected wetlands and violating state regulations on hazardous waste storage.

Allied Recycling Center Inc. and Recycling Walpole LLC will pay a $125,000 civil penalty as part of a consent agreement, according to a statement from Massachusetts Attorney General Martha Coakley. ....
