SE Asian galvanizing growth to accelerate: Richker Metals

DANA POINT, Calif. Hot-dip galvanizing is forecast to grow by as much as 15 percent in southeast Asia in the second quarter as the region develops transport and infrastructure projects, an executive at zinc scrap trading firm Richker Metals Inc. said.
The growth will be in Indonesia, Malaysia, Japan, Thailand, the Philippines and Taiwan as governments build projects like metro and sky trains, as well as due to building and road work, Nargis Banu, vice president of sales for Southeast Asia, told attendees the IZA conference in California.....
