Supply crimp lifts aluminum scrap prices

NEW YORK Secondary aluminum smelters scrap prices increased Feb. 18, with market participants saying that a recent supply shortage, largely caused by inclement weather across much of the country, was bolstering the secondary market.
Despite limited fluctuation on terminal markets, prices were being impacted solely by supply and demand fundamentals, several sources noted.....
