CHICAGO — Beck Aluminum Alloys Ltd. faces $77,472 in penalties after a worker was exposed to chlorine gas while doing maintenance at the company’s plant in Racine, Wis.

The U.S. Labor Department’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has accused Beck Aluminum Alloys, part of the Mayfield Heights, Ohio-based Beck Aluminum Group of companies, of 13 serious safety violations following a September inspection of the facility.....
