Steel maintains Edge in Ford crossover

NEW YORK Ford Motor Co. will outfit its next-generation Edge crossover vehicle with a double-sided pure zinc galvanized steel produced at ArcelorMittal Dofasco Inc.s Hamilton, Ontario, plant, the steelmaker said Feb. 27.
The announcement came amid a flurry of media attention and speculation sparked by Dearborn, Mich.-based Fords announcement in mid-January that it will shift to an aluminum-intensive body enclosure for the 2015 model year F-150 pickup truck (amm.com, Jan. 13). The switch....
