Stainless scrap prices hold firm

NEW YORK Stainless steel scrap prices held steady this week despite what industry participants called a "dynamic" market driven by strong mill demand and unpredictable London Metal Exchange nickel prices.
AMMs broker/processor buying prices for Type 316 solids held firm at $2,000 to $2,080 per gross ton, 304 solids remained at $1,545 to $1,590 per ton and 304 turnings stood at $1,390 to $1,410 per ton. Type 430 remained at $495 to $540 per ton, while 409 bundles maintained a range of $450 to $495 per ton.....
