NEW YORK ONeal Industries Inc. has made a number of executive changes, the company said March 5.
ONeal Industries vice chairman Bill Jones will retire June 30 after 38 years service, the Birmingham, Ala.-based service center said.
Bills impact on our company, industry and community has been immense, ONeal Industries chairman and chief executive officer Craft ONeal said. He was a key member of the team that would grow ONeal Steel into one of the largest and most respected metals service centers in the country.
Holman Head, president and chief executive officer of subsidiary ONeal Steel, will take over as president and chief operating officer of ONeal Industries effective April 1.
Head, who joined ONeal Steel in 1980, has worked in sales, marketing, purchasing and product development, among other roles. In his new position, he will have direct responsibility for the marketing and business development department and the organizations industrial metals group, which includes ONeal Steel Inc., ONeal Manufacturing Services, ONeal Flat-Rolled Metals and Leeco Steel LLC.
Stephen Armstrong, vice president of administration at ONeal Steel, will fill Heads existing posts effective April 1.
