West Coast plate prices holding firm

LOS ANGELES Commodity carbon steel plate prices appear to have peaked on the West Coast as some market sources said theyre bracing for future pressure on tags due to the expected arrival of lower-priced imports.
"For the first time in months, my price isnt different than it was last month," one fabricator source said.
Delivered prices on warehouse grades and sizes of domestic plate are currently reported in a fairly broad range of $43.50 to $45.50 per hundredweight ($870 to $910 per ton), depending on the size of the buyer and the local market.....
