NEW YORK — O’Neal Steel Inc. has appointed Suzanne Lane vice president and chief financial officer of the distributor of carbon and stainless steel and aluminum.

In her new position, Lane will be responsible for the accounting, credit, information services and analytics units serving both O’Neal Steel and O’Neal Manufacturing Services.

Lane, a certified public accountant who joined O’Neal Industries Inc. in 2010 as director of financial reporting, was promoted to vice president and corporate controller in 2012. She previously worked at Harbert Management Corp. and Deloitte & Touche LLP.

Birmingham, Ala.-based O’Neal Steel is one of 14 brands owned by O’Neal Industries, the parent company of the largest family owned group of metal service centers in the United States.
