Higher costs, weaker sales dent Antofagasta’s earnings

LONDON Antofagasta Plc recorded lower full-year earnings in 2013 due in part to higher costs and weaker sales.
There is no doubt that this has been a challenging year, with weaker commodity prices and higher costs, particularly energy, Antofagasta chief executive officer Diego Hernandez said in a statement released with the companys earnings results March 18. ....
