Barnes Group to close spring facility in Mich.

LOS ANGELES Barnes Group Inc. plans to close its Associated Spring facility in Saline, Mich., by the middle of this year.
The Bristol, Conn.-based industrial and aerospace manufacturer said that "increased customer demands for commodity pricing" for certain springs are leading the company to shutter the Saline operations, which employ about 50 workers producing automotive engine valve springs. ....
